Annual Governor Simcoe Walk

Join us as the Swansea Historical Society in partnership with Heritage York walk the lower Carrying Place Trail.
From an original transportation and commerce route along the Humber River, the walk will discuss how this pathway has played a formative role for 400 years in shaping our community. Meet at the Rousseaux Site just south of the Petro Canada Station on South Kingsway (43.635982 – 79.474809).
The walk is divided into 2 parts. In the morning, we will walk primarily along Riverside Drive learning about this early trade route. Following a lunch break, the hike will resume at 1 PM from Jane & Bloor (Alex Ling Fountain on NW corner) and proceed north.
